“Before we talked about spaces, we talked about their passions,” says O’Brien. “They wanted a joyful atmosphere that embraced the fun of childhood and hobbies, like horseback riding and woodworking, and welcoming friends. Then, we developed a program list that included a main house, accessory buildings, paddocks, and pools.”
